John
M. Shall is a partner in the Certified Public Accounting firm of DeSantis,
Kiefer, Shall & Sarcone, LLP, which is one of the largest and oldest
accounting firms on Staten Island. Mr. Shall is also a partner in DKS
Advisory Group, LLC, a financial services firm. As the Partner-in-Charge of the Medical
Practice Management Group, Mr. Shall developed a Medical Practice Management
System which is a service offered to physicians and other health care
providers. It is designed to assist
medical professionals in the day-to-day management of their practices. This consulting branch of the firm also
aids the health care provider in dealing with the ever-changing health care
environment.
Mr.
Shall has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Staten Island University
Hospital since 1985, and he currently serves as Chairman of the Board. In 1996, he became a member of the Board of
Trustees of the hospital's affiliated North Shore Long Island Jewish Health
Care System and its seventeen hospitals operating in Long Island
and the boroughs of Queens , Brooklyn
and Staten Island ;
he also serves on the Board's Executive Committee.

obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business
Administration from Wagner
College

, Mr. Shall continued his graduate studies at Pace
University
before becoming a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. He became a partner in the firm in
1979. In the Business Department at Wagner
College
, Mr. Shall served as an adjunct lecturer in 1981 and 1982. He is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified
Public Accountants, and is past President of the Richmond County
Chapter. Additionally, he holds
insurance licenses in New York , New Jersey
and Florida ,
and is associated with 1st Global, Inc. where he is a registered
representative holding Series 7 and 66 licenses.
As
a founding director of the Northfield Community Local Development
Corporation, he served on its Board from 1977 to 1982. John joined the South Shore Rotary Club of
Staten Island in 1974, and went on to serve as President in 1984 and 1985. Rotary's highest honor, a Paul Harris
Fellow was bestowed on John in 1989.
